Through a close working relationship between instructor and student, the principles of each movement are mastered. The instructor will observe closely and make modifications to enable a rich and rewarding experience.

A bit of magic can occur when two people do Pilates together. They encourage one another and cheer each others’ successes. Students are often at somewhat different levels or have specific modification requirements, which the instructor will happily accommodate.

Small groups, even in a virtual environment, offer a sense of camaraderie and encouragement. Seeing the same people on a regular basis encourages greater participation. During small group sessions the instructor does the exercises with students in order to provide visual as well as verbal instruction.

For those who will remain seated, Seated Pilates offers a world of movement. Strengthening and lengthening exercises are done for the entire body (front, back, sides, legs, arms, abs, shoulders, head and neck). It’s a full body workout without having to stand or lye down.

A gentle, safe and effective way to learn the Pilates movements. A full workout at a pace and level appropriate for the beginner. Everyone can do Pilates and everyone has to start somewhere. For the more experienced student, Gentle Pilates is a wonderful way to take a step back, slow down, and explore the deeper essence of each movement.

Athletic Pilates offers a challenge to those who like an intense workout. Come to class ready to work hard and feel exhilarated. If you are a professional or amateur athlete you will love the intensity of this workout and possibly find imbalances in your already strong body that, through Pilates, will be brought into balance.
